Chip in for Friend Hub
Entirely optional. Everything here stays free either way.
What this place is
Friend Hub is a small Pacific Northwest community site - trail finds and ferry weather, farmers markets and outdoor shows, festivals, and the people you actually know. There are no ads, no algorithm deciding what you see, and nothing about you is sold to anyone. It's run by one person out of Bellingham, not a company.
Why donations matter
No ads means no revenue. The bills still show up: the friendhub.net domain, the server that keeps the site online around the clock, and storage for every photo, video and song members upload. Storage is the one that grows - the more the community shares, the more it costs to keep it all.
Donations cover those costs. That's it. Nobody takes a salary out of this.
What you get for donating
Nothing, and that's deliberate. No badge, no extra features, no members-only corner. Paying for something everyone else gets free is a fast way to split a community in two, and this one is too small for that. If you give, it's because you want the place to keep existing.
Handled entirely by PayPal - Friend Hub never sees your card details. One-off, any amount. PayPal will email you a receipt.
Not in a position to give? Genuinely, don't. Posting something, tossing someone a pinecone, or inviting a friend keeps this place alive just as well. Questions about any of this - email friendhub360@gmail.com.
